Speedo's new LZR Racer suits are built with Nasa-tested black sheathing that compresses a swimmer's body with 70 times more force than standard nylon-elastane fabric.
Computational fluid dynamics testing was used to discover which parts of a swimmer's body produce the most drag in water, then these parts were appropriately reshaped with polyurethane inserts.
